The following laws and conventions do not apply to
ECF standard forms of contract:
- The Uniform Law on Sales and the Uniform Law on
Formation to which effect is given by the Uniform Laws on International Sales
Act 1967;
- The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the
International Sale of Goods of 1980; and
- The United Nations Convention on Prescription
(Limitation) in the International Sale of Goods Act 1974 and the amending
protocol of 1980.
GCA's Legal Framework and Contract Rulings simply
state that The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods
shall not apply to this contract.
