    • Population: 48.9 million.  
    • 2009 Net green bean imports 1.61 million bags; Vietnam led with 556,000 bags, followed by Brazil 289,000 bags, Colombia with 229,000 bags, Honduras 185,000 bags,  Peru 108,000 bags and Indonesia 104,00 bgas. 
    • 2009 imports of Roasted coffee were about 70,000 bags GBE – soluble was 113,000 bags GBE from a variety of sources, including Japan 24%, Brazil 23% and Egypt 19%. 
    • 2009 exports of soluble were 234,000 bags GBE of which 48,000 bags GBE to the Philippines.  
    • Per capita consumption in 2009 is estimated at around 1.9 kg.
